The comments on this video were disabled on this video, because Cassie had directed her viewers to go “Light a fire under Tati”. Unfortunately, many of her viewers took that the wrong way and were flaming the comments section with profanity and hate. Here are the Facts: [PLEASE EXPAND TO READ MORE]
– On November 17th, for my 5th anniversary on YouTube I announced I’d be doing a collab giveaway, to help promote a smaller YouTube channel. Since this giveaway was happening at the same time as my LOC collection with Birchbox, I encouraged viewers to make videos using LOC. It was not a requirement of the giveaway, but I did encourage it as I thought it would help the collections popularity. Very few people actually made a video to enter the giveaway, which was totally okay, because it wasn’t a requirement.
– The collab giveaway had to be postponed when my partnership with Birchbox ended..
– For a few months, I couldn’t do anything with it because I was in a legal dispute with Birchbox. During this time, I received dozens of comments on the subject, I responded to all of the ones that I saw and told them the collab would still happen and to please be patient (stay tuned).
– During this time many have speculated and even commented that the growth of my channel was due to this giveaway, yet nobody acknowledges that my WTF series launched and went viral at exactly the same time.
– When I was advised by my attorney on how I could move forward without Birchbox, I picked five finalists and selected the ultimate winner by pulling a name from a hat.
– As it turns out, the winner (not Laura Lee) was from Los Angeles and to avoid looking like I was trying to avoid paying for an airplane ticket, I started talking to the producers of Style Code Live about bringing the winner on as my guest and collabing with them while we were in NY.
– Style Code Live said yes to the idea within a couple weeks, but it took three months to schedule a date. I waited to inform the winner until I had a concrete date, because if they couldn’t go, I intended to select an alternate.
– Style Code Live finally approved the episode date on July 2nd and I contacted the winner the same day on July 2nd (I have twitter DM’s as proof),
– I finally heard back from the winner on July 5th and we spoke on July 6th … she accepted the trip on that call.
– Cassie’s video went live of on July 7th

– After hearing Cassie refer to me (my actions) as “rotten and cruel” I made the poor decision to write a negative comment on her video. That comment was written with far too much emotion and I regretted my words almost immediately, but didn’t delete my comment because I didn’t want people thinking I was trying to hide the truth. Cassie and I spent most of that day and evening texting, apologizing and forgiving each other. I posted an apology to her audience 12 hrs after I had made my original comment.
– What has been the most disappointing is that I have not been able to defend myself from these attacks, because no matter what I say in a video or type on this page, people are going to believe what they want to believe. Many people expect me to make a video and say who won and defend all of the allegations, but I refuse to spoil the surprise of who won.
– The winner and I are filming our collab together in NY in early August. Their tickets, hotel suite and car service have all been booked at my own personal expense.
– Anything else that is discussed on this matter is pure speculation and has nothing to do with the truth.
