Fenty Beauty review for dry acne prone skin. I had a skin flare up and I thought this was THE PERFECT time to test the power of the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Primer, AND Pro Filt’r Soft Matte longwear Foundation. I have so much texture on my skin and I wanted to see if the Invisimatte powder would be blurring and softening on my big, open and enlarged pores.
I also tested out the Match Stix Trio in Medium on the Fenty beauty Foundation & other various Foundations in my collection.
Find out what products are worth the hype and what products you need to pass on if you have dry, acne prone skin with A LOT of texture like I do.

– FENTY BEAUTY PRO FILT’R PRIMER
I wouldn’t recommend this for dry skin it definitely made the foundation look dry and textured compared to the hydrating primer
FENTY BEAUTY PRO FILT’R SOFT MATTE FOUNDATION
This dries down darker. One of only a few flaws of the foundation. You need to spend sometime matching yourself and seeing just how much it oxidises. It also sets really quickly so I recommend applying your foundation in sections. This isn’t the most suitable foundation for dry skin, I would only use it when my skin is properly hydrated.
FENTY BEAUTY MATCH STIX TRIO – MEDIUM
CONCEALER- Doesn’t conceal that well, the consistency is heavy under the eye area. The concealer crepes close to the eye. Not suitable for dry or mature skin types.
CONTOUR – A much nicer product and shade range for contouring and creating warmsth and definition. This is the best product out of the trio. Its buttery compared to the concealer and it blends with ease. My preferred tool is a contour brush like the one I used from MAC
HIGHLIGHT – Such a same as the formulation isn’t quite there for dry skin types. If I were to use the Match stix highlights I’d have to use an oil with them. The shade range is gorgeous and Confetti is my fave!
INVISIMATTE POWDER
A powder that is forgiving on open pores and texture. I did not expect to like this powder but as a dry skin type I would only powder the centre of my face where there is more texture to blur out.
FENTY BEAUTY KILLAWATT FREESTYLE HIGHLIGHT DUO
MEAN MONEY / HU$TLA BABY
SUBTLE HIGHLIGHT – I found this to me very underwhelming, It could be my skin type but it looked just like powder on my skin. It didn’t catch the light at all. The face mist used to enhacne this highlight and hydrate my skin made no difference.
INTENSE HIGHLIGHT – I use this highlight on my cheeks and eyes as much as I can. This duo is best suited for deeper complexions but I love the reflex and the way it catches the light.
