READ ME: This look is an exotic, metallic party look in a unique yet neutral colour palette with pink lips. I hope that whether you wear the scarf or not, you love this makeup look as much as I do!
Honestly we all know that any makeup at all can be worn with, or without a hijab, but I find that the scarf actually changes a few things about the face; it hides part of the forehead, and hides the neck, the face therefore can appear rounder (from what I have observed). So when doing these hijab looks I try to focus on flawless skin, elongating the eyes and sculpting out the cheekbones.
FYI…
I am actually an atheist and so don’t believe in any deity. Prior to this I was a Christian (Anglican), I always get this question when I do these videos so thought I’d address it.
Why do I do these videos:
1. Because wearing the headscarf changes how certain aspects of the face look so I take a different approach sometimes in how to do a makeup. A huge chunk of my audience hail from Islamic countries so it’s only natural for me to want to let them know that I SEE YOU SISTA.
2. Because I feel that women that wear a headscarf are subjected to alienation in Western society especially after recent events, and I just want to promote the idea that we are all the same human regardless of belief/clothing we wear (except if you wear crocs… plz don’t). I am not trying to promote any kind of religion or anything – as I said, I’m an ATHEIST – I just want us all to unite over a love of makeup and not let generalisations get in the way of the sisterhood ya dig?
